What’s online giving as worship?

Giving is an act of worship. Jesus says that, “true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth” (John 4:23). The spiritual and truthful act of worship is willingly and gladly offering up our entire lives to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Giving is only one aspect of our worship lives (just like singing or serving the Lord in the church), but it is an important one. Finances are some of our most precious resources for food, shelter, and provision for ourselves and our families, and yet we recognize God as the giver of all things. In essence, we give back to Him. And it is the Holy Spirit inside of us that touches us to recognize all that the Lord has done in us and through us to give back to Him. To top this, the Bible makes wonderful and great promises concerning giving gladly, or evenly “hilariously,” to the Lord:

Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now in this." says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."

2 Corinthians 9:6 -7 "But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful [hilarious] giver."

We want you to know that your giving is of great importance in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in our church, our community, and our world. Your support for the ministry supports the great advance of the kingdom of God through the church.

We hope it will bless you immeasurably to be able give and now to give online.

Blessings,
